Enriching Encounters : The Bianca Couture Centre welcomes visitors from French-speaking Africa

On Thursday 26 September 2024, the Bianca Couture Centre was delighted to welcome a group of visitors from various countries in French-speaking Africa, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Burundi, Mali and Mauritania.
A total of 17 participants took part in the final phase of their training course in local resource mobilisation with the Association Burkinabè de Fundraising. This face-to-face session, marking the culmination of their course, was an opportunity for them to visit the Bianca Couture Centre, chosen as an inspiring model.

Mrs Denise OUEDRAOGO, the centre's first manager, with 23 years' experience in training young girls, took the floor to greet and warmly thank the visitors for choosing her organisation. She went on to describe her rewarding experience and the centre's activities. This was followed by a guided tour and a presentation by the visiting team to the girls at the centre. Discussions focused on initiatives to help disadvantaged girls and vocational training programmes, particularly in sewing and weaving.

The visitors were deeply moved to see the tangible impact of the work carried out, in particular by discovering the journey of the young girls and their determination through the training courses. It was a wonderful experience for the participants, who were able to see the tangible results of the actions up close and discuss the challenges of mobilising resources. They were very enthusiastic, and particularly appreciated this exchange rich in experience.

The participants came away enriched by the experience and inspired by our commitment. The visit not only provided an opportunity to share our methods, but also opened up new prospects for collaboration across the continent. ✨
