Radiant Celebration: Diplomas and Kits for a Bright Future for Vulnerable Girls at the Bianca Centre

On 25 April 2024, the Bianca Centre was alive with joy and emotion as it held its annual ceremony to present diplomas and kits to the 2023 graduates! Under the kind patronage of Mr Issaka CONGO, the day was a great success, bringing together parents, neighbours and guests in a warm and festive atmosphere.

The speeches resounded with enthusiasm and gratitude. The Centre's promoter, Ms OUEDRAOGO Denise, warmly thanked Mr CONGO for taking the time to honour the ceremony with his presence. She also expressed her gratitude to the parents for their unfailing support throughout their daughters' three years of training. Thanks to this commitment, combined with the help of partners and the dedication of the instructors, the Centre has achieved an impressive pass rate of 90% in the Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle (CQP).

The patron, Mr Issaka CONGO, President of the Association Solidarité pour le Développement Communautaire, praised the work of the promoter and her team, underlining their exceptional commitment to the economic empowerment of disadvantaged young girls. He also congratulated the graduates on their resounding success, offering them valuable advice and encouraging them to continue to strive to make an active contribution to their homes and society.

The parents' representative expressed his gratitude to the promoter for her dedication and to the instructors for their high-quality teaching. He also congratulated the graduates on their efforts, encouraging them to continue their fight for independence and to play an active part in the fight against unemployment in Burkina Faso.

The learners' representative, who was visibly moved, thanked the promoter for her constant support, her sound advice and her initiatives, such as the provision of food. She also expressed her sincere thanks to the instructors for the invaluable teaching and support they had given her over the past three years.

This year, 32 girls received their certificates of achievement issued by the Centre, 18 of whom also obtained the CQP from the Ministry for Youth and Employment. In addition to the diplomas, each trainee went home with a complete installation kit, including a sewing machine, a large cutting table, an iron, scissors, a tape measure and working capital. A memorable day that marks the start of a promising future for these young girls!
